We're on the third lap! This year Faema is again Official Partner of the Giro d'Italia
Faema returns as an official partner of the Giro d'Italia for the third consecutive year with the same passion as always, new challenges and new goals. Because the most exciting road is the one yet to be travelled: The way ahead - Brewing new paths.
From 4 to 26 May we will ride alongside the athletes of the Giro d'Italia, which will touch some of our most beautiful cities of art. The beauty of great cycling, Italian culture and coffee come together to rewrite new paths and celebrate Italy's most exciting cycling race.
The #TheWayAhead concept will be the common thread running through all the initiatives organised in the villages and is intended as a stimulus for everyone to always look beyond, not only in physical and sporting terms, but also to look at what lies beyond the challenge, what surrounds and embraces our journey.
"Art, like the Giro d'Italia, is not just a finish line: it is an ever-evolving journey. This is the case for the riders, who once again this year will test their limits, stage after stage, for the artists who are constantly in search of new forms of creative expression, and it is the case for Faema, which has always cultivated the art of making coffee: this is the mood with which we approach this third year of sponsorship with great enthusiasm," comments Marta Kokosar, Global Communication & Sustainability Director of Cimbali Group. "Because only art is able to transform every journey, every moment, every cup, into a work that tastes of emotion".
And the journey starts again this year with a new charity challenge on Strava: by signing up to the Faema Lovers Club it will be possible to take part in "Ride the change with Faema" from 4 to 17 May, so that the whole community can contribute by pedalling, both on the road and digitally, to break the record of 7 million km cycled last year! By breaking the record together, in fact, Faema will make a donation to World Bicycle Relief, the association that has been working for 19 years to bring bicycles to developing countries around the world to provide a means of connection in rural areas where distance is an obstacle to education, health care and the transport of goods to market. Reliable transport has the power to change lives, thereby reducing poverty and improving the quality of life of local people.
The donation can also be further enhanced by taking part in the initiative organised at the Faema stand at the various stages: all fans will in fact find a personalised Faema and Giro d'Italia photobooth with which they can pose for an original souvenir of the day. Sharing photos on Instagram with the hashtag #FaemaOnTheRoad and #TheWayAhead and mentioning our official profile @faema_official will increase the donation.
So, the more you ride, the more you share photos and the more you contribute to the cause!
Starring along the various stages will be Faema's new generation of fully automatic machines. The X60 and the X20 will be waiting for you in the starting cities of the tour at our booth at the fan village ready to offer you a coffee in a workmanlike manner. In addition, you will find the iconic Faema E61 on display.
In the starting Hospitality areas instead, customers, guests and journalists will be able to enjoy an excellent coffee prepared with the brand new Faema XCompact, while in the arrival Hospitality areas of the Giro E the star will be Faemina.
